About Tamarindo, Costa Rica

Welcome to Guanacaste, Costa Rica! Whether you're coming to Costa Rica as a first-time visitor or as a familiar friend, you are in for a magical treat.  The Northern Pacific Coast's natural and majestic beauty, rich history and culture have made it a top Costa Rica vacation destination for the international traveler.

Panacea de la Montaņa is located near some of Costa Rica's most spectacular beaches. We're just 10 minutes from Tamarindo Beach, 15 minutes from Brasilito and Conchal Beaches, and 20 minutes from Playa Grande. Our area is known for water sports including scuba diving and snorkeling, deep sea fishing, surfing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking.

The beach towns in our area feature many local shops and restaurants. Our area is a culturally-diverse community comprised primarily of Costa Ricans, North Americans and Europeans, where everyone is known for their friendliness and hospitality.

Once you're here, you'll understand why we chose this marvelous part of the world to build Panacea de la Montaña.

If you're into the joys of nature, you couldn't select a better part of the world to visit. Activities such as estuary excursions, horseback riding, bird watching, hiking, tree canopy tours, nature walks, cycling, national parks and more are all in the area for you to explore and enjoy. If you would like to participate in any of these activities, please let us know of your interest and we'll help you make arrangements.

Tamarindo, Costa Rica weather
Panacea is located in a dry, tropical forest, and enjoys a less humid climate than other parts of the country. Temperatures range between 72ºF (22ºC) and 92ºF (34ºC) during the entire year, with comfortable breezes year 'round.

There are basically two seasons in our area: dry and rainy. The rainy season runs from mid-May through mid-November, when the landscape is green and lush. Rain showers occur briefly during the late afternoons ("wait a few minutes and it'll be over"), creating spectacular sunsets that you're sure to remember!

The December through April dry season brings a bit more sun, so be sure to pack your sunscreen and hat!
